Tanks & Pipeworks Ltd announces the launch of our new Tanks & Pipeworks Monitoring System
These units are a vacuum sensitive system that will pick up on a drop in pressure, and will in turn determine a hole in the tank. It is also capable of picking up on a fault in the cable, whether shorted out, cut or damaged, using a ps81 gem sensor that works on a normally open/closed circuit.
All unit’s and power supplies used within the alarm unit are C.E approved and marked, with
an industry standard pressure switch.
The pressure switch is designed and manufactured in accordance with sound engineering practice as defined by the pressure equipment directive 97/23/EC.
The alarm unit will only display the green CLEAR light when in normal working state.
The alarm unit has two alarm fault codes as follows:
Low pressure fault (e.g. leak interstitial) = sounder and both fault light’s
Cable fault = fault light only
To reset the system press the silent/reset button the alarm will silence but alarm light’s will stay on until fault/fault’s are cleared.
Once fault/fault’s have been cleared the unit will return to normal working state (green light only).
This unit also has the added ability of being able to monitor the tank during a power failiure by battery backup at a chargeable extra.

PETTRACK (Remote cleaning system)
Tanks & Pipeworks is the first and only company in the UK operate a remote tank cleaning system.
Our pioneering Remote Tank Cleaning system - or RTC for short; eliminates all the major health and safety issues faced by staff when cleaning tanks using conventional methods. Our RTC cleaning unit meets ATEX criteria, offering further peace of mind to our clients.
Before the inception of the Remote Tank Cleaning system, staff sent into the tank itself, and because of toxic vapours and chemicals, bulky, cumbersome protective suits and breathing apparatus had to be worn. Couple this with only a very small opening/hatch for entry/exit into the tank; this resulted in a less than suitable working environment.
The Remote Tank Cleaning system uses a hydraulically controlled cleaning unit which houses multi-directional jets which cleaning agents are pumped through; high pressure water cannon which can remove even the most stubborn of residues and a high-powered suction system to remove all sludge and residues from the tank.
The entire system is controlled by a single operator within the comparative comfort and safety of our auxiliary support unit.
The operation of RTC can be viewed live through the internet over a static IP address.
