Glassfibre Lining System
1st Advance offer a comprehensive range of Glassfibre services to meet your environmental upgrade and maintenance needs on site. Our staff are highly experienced, having spent years in the industry. 1st Advance’ health and safety policy ensures that all our staff are suitably trained, and have annual medicals.
1st Advance use a traditional hand lay up method, top quality advance resins, Chop strand mat and fabrics are used, giving the client peace of mind that a reinforced structural laminate has been applied as opposed to an inferior coating.
1st Advance offer repairs to other lining systems, and inspect and upgrade existing fibreglass tanks to E85 approval.
Hand lay up process:
Surface is cleaned and prepared
Resin is applied to the surface with loaded roller
Emulsion bound chop strand mat is then laid onto the wet resin
Resin is then applied evenly to the chop strand mat and left to soak
The material is then meticulously rolled to remove any air pockets, break down the fibre binding and left to cure.
Resin coats and product resistant top coat is applied to seal and complete the laminate.
